Description du service

Omaha Beach, the Vierville Draw, the monuments, the bunkers and the bluffs LIVE from Omaha Beach. "My wife and I just completed a virtual tour of Omaha Beach, given by Patrick. Being situated in our New Hampshire (USA) home, we had no idea what to expect. However the mechanics worked perfectly even with a 6 hour time difference. A tour like this should be a requirement for everyone enjoying freedom. Patrick’s knowledgeable narrative made us feel like we were experiencing history. Spend the time to have a tour. Although physically less tiring, emotionally less it was not. Thank you, Patrick." - TripAdvisor review A LIVE on-location tour of the bunkers, monuments and the beach. We begin the tour at the D1 draw at Vierville, the bluffs, enemy strongpoints 72 and 73, the National Guard monument and the monument to 'The Bedford Boys' of the 116th Infantry Regiment. We then climb the bluffs above the beach and take the coastal path taken by Able Company of the 2nd Rangers Battalion whose objective was the German radar station at Pointe de la Percée. Weather permitting we will reach Strongpoint 74. Using the latest livestreaming mobile technology, Patrick Hilyer's on-location virtual tours bring the sights and sounds of the D-Day battlefields and beaches right to your living room, den or office - on your tablet, computer, laptop, smart phone or TV screen. The tours are interactive - you and your guests can ask questions during the LIVE ZOOM briefing/debriefing. Patrick is an experienced D-Day tour guide and a member of the Normandy Battlefield Tour Guides Association. He and his wife run the travel consultancy We Love Normandy and both have worked in Tourism and Hospitality in Normandy since 2003. Tours are given in English Price promise - if you find an equivalent tour cheaper elsewhere we'll refund the difference
