I currently live in Blandford in Dorset, UK. I spent 24 years living on mainland Europe in 3 countries Belgium, The Netherlands and Germany. I am a huge fan of anything to do with WWII. Whilst living in the Netherlands I spent a couple of years as a tour guide in the Corrie ten Boom museum in Haarlem - the story of Corrie, her family and all that they did to hide and save people during the war is depicted in the book "The Hiding Place", which was also made into a film. Quite a few years ago now I did visit Omah/Utah beaches but it was a flying visit and when we can start travelling again I'm hoping to return for a longer visit this time.
